Washing Machine & Dryer Repair in Guanacaste — Full Service Details

Everything we fix, what it roughly costs, and how the process works. No mystery, no surprise fees.

Washer Repairs We Handle Every Week

Top-load, front-load, stacked towers and washer-dryer combos. The failures we see most in Guanacaste's heat, humidity, hard water and unstable power:

💧

Not Draining

Standing water in the drum usually means a clogged pump filter or a failed drain pump. We clear or replace it on the spot in most cases.

🔄

Not Spinning

Worn belts, failed motor couplings, faulty lid switches or door locks — we diagnose why the drum won't turn and fix the cause.

💦

Leaking Water

Cracked hoses, worn door boots, failed inlet valves. We stop the leak before it damages floors and cabinets.

Won't Start / Error Codes

Control board faults, blown thermal fuses, door lock errors. We read the code, test the components, and repair what actually failed.

🔊

Banging & Walking

A washer that shakes violently or walks across the floor usually has worn shock absorbers, suspension springs or drum bearings.

🔥

Dryer Not Heating

Heating elements, thermostats and thermal fuses fail often in Guanacaste's dusty conditions. We carry the common parts.

Dryer Repairs

Dryers matter in the green season, when nothing line-dries for weeks. We repair electric and gas dryers: heating elements and burners, thermostats and thermal fuses, drive belts, drum rollers, blocked vents and lint systems (a fire risk worth taking seriously), and control boards. If your dryer runs but takes two or three cycles to dry a load, that's usually a vent or element problem — a quick, inexpensive fix that also cuts your electricity bill.

Common Questions

How much does washer repair cost in Guanacaste?

Most washing machine repairs in Guanacaste land between $60 and $150 including parts and labor. A diagnostic visit runs $30–40 and is credited toward the repair. Bigger jobs like drum bearings or a control board can reach $110–200.

Do you repair dryers too?

Yes. Heating elements, thermostats, thermal fuses, belts, drums and vents — both electric and gas dryers, including stacked washer-dryer towers and combo units.

Can you come the same day?

In most areas of Guanacaste, yes — especially if you call in the morning. Tamarindo, Flamingo, Playa del Coco, Liberia and Santa Cruz are usually same-day; more remote areas like Nosara may be next-day.

Is it worth repairing, or should I buy a new machine?

Our rule of thumb: if the repair costs less than half the price of an equivalent new machine and yours is under 8 years old, repair it. A new washer in Costa Rica runs $400–900, so a $80–150 repair almost always makes sense. We'll tell you honestly when it doesn't.

Do you service my brand?

Almost certainly. We work on Samsung, LG, Mabe, Whirlpool, Atlas, Electrolux, Frigidaire, Maytag, Haier, Bosch and most other brands sold in Costa Rica, plus US-market machines brought down by owners.
